Here is what I'm looking to do. I would like to set the AlternateUserid to a specific value in the Message Flow when constructing a MQ Message. I would like to do this at the Message Flow level, rather than request that the sending application set it(C Program) so that I can copy the message context and pull it along by checking the Alternate User authority check box in the MQOutput Node. I also don't see where this can be overridden at Bar deployment time.

So the root question is: How would you set the AlternateUserid in ESQL or any other Message Broker function (without writing a custom node)?

The checkbox on the MQOutput node sets the MQOO.

The documentation specifies that the actual altuser id is then taken from the message context.

Try setting MQMD.Userid first.

Thanks all.....

Setting the MQMD.Userid property, Setting Message Context to: Set Identity and checking the Alternate user authority on the MQOUTPUT Nodes properties resolved the issue.
