Does DB2 uses any OS/2 subsystems in Windows 2000? I have deleted my registry entry for the Windows 2000 OS/2 subsystem (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Subsystems\Os2) as part of the PC hardening process and now my WMQI won't allow me to create my config manager! It gives me error while trying to access the DB2 database, something about my userid and passwd is wrong (which I've retried lotsa times and am definitely sure I'm giving the correct userid and passwd).
I'm just wondering is the error is indeed related to the deletion of OS/2 entry in the registry... I can't remember what else I could've done.
Now, everytime I restart DB2, in my event log there will be an application error log (from DB2) about some SNA error or something. (DB2 in Win2k uses SNA???)
The funny thing is, I can still create databases and everything in DB2, just that WMQI somehow couldn't access the database (while creating the config mgr) and keeps giving me 'incorrect userid and passwd'.
Anyone encounter this before? Is there anyway in which I can restore my registry entry? _________________ lung
