We are receiving this error while creating a qmgr.

bash-3.00$ crtmqm -u SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE -c 'test qmgr' TESTQMGR

WebSphere MQ queue manager created.
WebSphere MQ was unable to display an error message 893.

I know this is due to some kernel paramerts setting but do not know exactly what is causing this. We have set up kernel parameter as given in the cod.

Could some one give some idea? We are using mq 6.0.2.2 on Solaris 10.

Thanks a lot

what is in /var/mqm/errors? /var/mqm/qmgrs/TESTQMGR/errors?

Is /usr/bin on the PATH? Is /usr/lib on the libpath?

Are you using Solaris zones? If so, what kind of install have you done?

Yes.

We revisited the projects parameters and reset yesterday and now it seems working. I will post in either situation.

If it is fixed or not fixed. Thanks a lot[/quote]

We have whole root installation.

With the projects parameters setup, it seems now working fine.

Thanks all for your input.

You're responding to a four-year old post...
