I am currently running MQ 7.0.1.6 and JRE 1.4.2 an am looking at upgrading the JRE to v6. Are there any potential problems doing this or anything that I should be aware of? thanks
MQ itself doesn't make any use of a JRE for any queue manager function.
MQExplorer uses a JRE - but that comes with it and I doubt you are thinking of upgrading that one.
Your applications can chose to use a JRE of whatever level you want, provided you've confirmed that the MQ Java or JMS classes that you're using are supported with that level of JRE... there is fortunately a relatively clear statement of this in the system requirements.
