Hi guys. Currently I have a server-connection and a client-connection channel setup to an external party with SSL setup. Our application puts messages onto a local queue for the external party to retrieve. As SSL is conffgured on the server-connection channel messages are excrypted as they flow through the channel. Now they want to send us messages on a local queue, would these messages be encrypted also? is this possibe? |

Yes, if your app uses the same SCRCONN channel. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

SSL does not encrypt the messages.
It encrypts the traffic between the application and the queue manager, or two queue managers.
So when your application creates a message in memory - that message is not encrypted. When the queue manager writes the message to a queue, the message on that queue is not encrypted. |
