Hello,
I have installed MQSeries Version 5.2 on my machine which is WinNT4.0 Server(SP6) using my network login which has the admin priviledges.
The installation is successfull.
Then I have created some Queues in a queue manager viz, MYQMGR.
When I left the office I shut down my machine.
On the next day when I logged in with same ID and opened MQSeries Explorer I couldnot see the Queues in MYQMGR. No other objects like channel definitions and process definitions etc were seen.
Just a blank window on the panel at right hand.
I confirmed that MQSeries Services are running.
The QueueManager itself was seen with
QueueManager Status: Running
Connection Status: Not Connected.
When I tried to connect to this queuemanager, it propmted that
You are not authorized to connect to the QueueManager.
When I started my client application (I'm using java client) to put some messages on on a queue in MYQMGR, it ended with success!!
When I logged in using my standalone login, ironically I could see all the queues, channels, proesses and other objects in MYQMGR. I could create new objets and do whatever i can.
All other developers including me, working on MQSeries have faced and still facing the same problem.
Isn't it strange??? _________________ Vivek

Is it possible, that your net logon ID was removed from the local admin group? To be able to administer a queue manager your UserID should either belong to local adminsitrators group or to mqm group. _________________ Marcin Grabinski <>< |
