Hello Every one, I have written some start/stop scripts for stand alone QMGRS and placed them in run levl rc3.d and rc1.d. Hence it is an automated process to stop and start stand alone QMGRS on the servers when ever the system needs to be shut down or rebooted. So, in the same way i want to know if i can create an automated process for the QMGRS on VCS. Other wise usually those qmgrs on vcs need to be frozen and manually need to b stopped.

Thanks in advance,
Dhanpal.

VCS = Veritas cluster server. I want to do research to find out an automated way to start/stop Queue Managers on VCS if there is a need of system shut down or reboot.

Thanks,
Dhanpal.

Same way you'd do it for any software under Vertias. Check the VCS documentation; IIRC there are example scripts there. Use those to convert your stand alone scripts.
