Hello All,

We have IBM Web Sphere v6 on AIX, now we have one active channel wich is used by 40 req-res queue, now during most time we observed that when channel connections reached to 100 then it is not allowing for any new connections and we are getting error at the client side as "The channel program ended because the channel 'CHANNEL1' is not currently available on the remote system. This could be because the channel is disabled or that the remote system does not have sufficient resources to run a further channel.
MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE, Details: MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE
"

Is there any solution for avoiding this problem...?

Can we go for increae this connections?
Can we identify the unused / garbage connection if any and close them?

Any urgent help will be help full to us ...
thanks
Regards,
Pankaj Chaudhari

Yes

Yes, that's the solution. 100 connections is the default connection limit for a queue manager. Use the documented procedures to increase it.

Yes - it's a method called "writting client application code properly".

You could have got all of this by looking in the product documentation. It would have been much faster in this urgent situation than just posting here & waiting.

Of course if you were using a supported version of WMQ you could have got help immediately from IBM.

The document that will help you is the MQ Information Center.

If you can't find that on your own, then telling you where it is won't help you.

Talk to the person sitting next to you who has been at this job longer than you have. Ask them for mentoring and assistance in resolving this issue.

They are getting paid to provide that level of help to you. We are not.

Google is your friend. Practice searching.

You might consider searching google for ' mq channel configuration'.
