I am used to set up MQ on intra-network with in the company. Due to recent acquisition we have to send MQ messages to a different company. The way I am looking at is to have is to have as follows. Please share your expertise to help how the set up can be made robust:

Let us say two companies A and B. If A has multiple applications with QM1, QM2, QM3 and all messages need to go to B. The way I want to set up is to set up a QM-A, and have all QM1,QM2,QM3 pass messages to QM-A. Then have QM-A connectivity with company B. I am thinking this way only one QM-A need to be provided access from company B. The down side of this approach, if QM-A goes down, all messages will be stuck on A. Can someone help share experiences setting such a set up and how to address failover? I believe this is quite common, but I did not find a document for this patten.
TIA.

And in contrast, don't span MQ clusters across unreliable network boundaries.
