Hello MQ Experts ,
Installed MQ 7.1 on the linux . While some testing I found out that root user is not having authority to stop the MQ. Which seems bit unusual .
I looked at the permissions of the qmanager directory

No, root typically doesn't have administrative control over WMQ. Like it doesn't have control over any of the other software on the box. What it does have is an unstopable right to become the id which controls that software.

No it isn't, or isn't the whole reason.

rwxrwx.
Those directories shouldn't have those permissions in the previous versions. Sounds like someone's been "improving" the file system, possibly to get root the access they think it needs. This is not a good idea. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
