I want to use a queue manager with XA to coordinate a 2-phase commit between Oracle and MQSeries queues.
the issues I see are:
- qm.ini configuration.
- what Oracle libraries do I need (Oracle 8.x and 9.x).
- which sample MQSeries programs are relevant for this configuration.

help with any of these issues will be most appreciated since the documentation is rather puzzling.

I'm using MQSeries version 5.2 on Solaris

You can find details on the qm.ini file in the WebSphere MQ System Administration guide.

I believe that there is a sample (xa_mqs_oracle.c) in the C/C++ repository on this site. There are also some DB2 samples in the <mqtop>\tools\c\samples\xatm subdirectory of the product.

The version that Oracle that is supported can be found at:

http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/platforms/supported.html
