Hi,

I am facing a problem in message broker.We have two queue manager,A and B for load balancing.Sometimes the broker becomes unresponsive(suppose A) and messages start piling up in the request queue Again,when we start the queue manager(A) after redirecting the affected queue to the other queue manager(B),then queue manager A starts processing the messages.It happens once in a week.Can anyone suggest me as why this is happening?

Load balanced how? Through a WMQ cluster? F5? What?

By "request queue" do you mean the local queue the broker flow is reading or a transmission queue?

If broker A is unresponsive, why is your chosen resolution to restart the queue manager rather than the broker?

How are you "redirecting" the queue?

What does the broker log have to say about the lack of response? What does the queue manager log indicate during the affected period?

Does the broker flow use an external resource (e.g. a database) which is backed up once a week and hangs the flow up while this is in progress?

Better information, better advice.
