The "mqlicense.sh" script dies with the following error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
com/ibm/lex/lapapp/LAP
I am running Solaris 8 at the 108528-13 level (July 2002 Recommended
patches installed).
I have already installed 5.3 on several platforms configured much like
this machine with no problem. What is causing this error on this
particular machine?
I have done some analysis on my own and it doesn't appear that this
problem could be caused by the level of Java on my machine. The lap
application seems to come with it's own jre. I copied the script off of
the cd and made some changes to track how variables were being resolved.
The script seemed to be working correctly up to execution of the java
program. Can anyone help?

I did a search on an internal site, and I found a problem that looked similar to yours that was fixed by:

I opened a problem with IBM support and they responded with that suggestion. It worked because apparently the install process just checks for the existance of that file to determine if you have accepted the license.
