For High Availability check the InfoCenter for muli-instance & information on running WMB under HACMP or similar HA software.
Do you mean clustering in the workload balancing context or the HA context? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

mostly
The concepts in the article remain valid.
Nothing about the technology described is still relevant, or in some cases accurate. It also (obviously) doesn't describe any of the technology options developed in the last 8 years.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

From your lips.... I wish more effort would be devoted to updating the information on the IBM site. The information is relevant, and it could use updating.
Here is another link.

A more advanced HACMP environment consists of two machines in an active-active configuration, whereby both machines are doing critical data processing. If a failover-inducing event takes place on one machine, the data processing [is] routed from the failing machine to the healthy machine. |

I look forward to reading your revised developerworks article on this topic. Once you've devoted effort to writing it. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Me too ! I have often thought about writing one. For Amazon, in 2008, I have written a white paper on operational security while using AWS. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

This is the backwards procedure.
You should read and study and think before you ask, not the other way around. |
