Sorry for the typo I meant I tired sftping, and it works fine.
Also, the Windows contact admin we are trying to transfer the file to, only accepts SFTP requests. |
Any solution for this issue. I verified Security identity and the SFTP properties on File Output node. I am able to connect to SFTP using same username and pwd that I used in creating security identity. But getting error 'password authentication credentials invalid' when I try to send a file using message flow. |

What issue? The thread you originally posted on was a year old, referred to an out of support version of WMB and didn't quote the same SFTP error as you!

So this is good information. Other good information would be the version of WMB you're using (if it's 6.1.0.5 like the other thread I may have found your problem), the OS it runs on and how this security identity is configured (with the sensitive parts obsufacated obviously).
Better information, better advice. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Thanks for the quick response.
We are using WMB 6.1.0.8. OS is unix, SFTP with just username and Password. |

And there was me thinking you were using SFTP with a letter of recommendation....
I guessed this from the 'password authentication credentials invalid' error in your original post. I was asking more on the details of how you've provided this information to the FileOutput node. As I said before:

I used SFTP option on File Output node and provided Security Identity (Created with just username and password on our server), server name, server directory path on FTP tab properties.
And the OS is SunOS 5.10.
And one more thing, I was able to send files to other partners SFTP servers.
Facing this issue with only 2 of the partners |

You see what I mean about "better information"?
Have you checked with the 2 partners in question what exactly they've configured their security to be? You've already said you've successfully SFTP'd these people using the user id / password; using what tool? What's exists in that tool or the command shell it's running in that differs from the environment that the FileOutput node is running in? Do these partners have any diagnostics their end which indicates in greater detail what was missing or invalid in your sftp attempt? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I used FileZilla, WS_FTP, and also admin tried using commands on same server.
I will find out with partners regarding all the things that you have mentioned.
Thanks again for the response. |

I too was getting the same "password authentication credentials invalid" error message. WMB 6.1.8 on AIX 6.1, going against different SFTP servers. I knew that the username from the mqsisetdbparms command was being picked up correctly because I could see it in the trace and the account was being locked out on the remote sftp server after the connection attempt by the broker. I knew the password was correct because I could use it from several other sftp clients without issue.
Specifying an SSH key file instead of a password in the mqsisetdbparms command connects successfully, however. |
