I recently came across a infocenter note telling that "Typically, namelists are used by applications such as trigger monitors, where they are used to identify a group of queues"
I never knew this is possible so was just curious how this could be implemented. Can someone let me know how trigger monitors can be used with Queue namelists ?
You need to understand what the info center means when it says 'trigger monitor'.
It almost always refers to "an application that you choose to write yourself".
The only times you can safely assume that it is discussing runmqtmc and runmqtrm is when it is actually specifically discussing runmqtmc and runmqtrm.
So, yes, you can easily write an application of your own that acts as a trigger monitor that uses a namelist to store the list of queues that the trigger monitor should monitor.
That doesn't mean that any trigger monitors out there are actually written that way, and it certainly doesn't mean that runmqtrm and runmqtmc are written that way. Unless the documentation on those sample programs specifically says that they are.
