SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT queue becomes full very often ...whether it will affect the queue manager behaviour ? _________________ SMV

This is because the QMGR has one/more of the QMGR Events enabled. This queue being full will NOT affect the QMGR behaviour, since the event msgs will just be lost.
If these QMGR events are of no value to you, clear this queue and set the below QMGR properties to disabled:
AUTHOREV, INHIBTEV, LOCALEV,REMOTEEV,STRSTPEV |

If there are message on this queue, it is because someone has enabled the queue manager to create them.
The only reason to enable the queue manager to create them is because there is a plan to have an application consume them. A monitoring or reporting application of some kind, usually.
So if this queue gets full frequently, then the thing that is supposed to be consuming the messages is frequently not doing it's job. |
