Hi,
We intend to define MsgId and CorrelId values by the application itself as string of 16 characters.
- is that possible?
- is each field (MQBYTE24) padded with some caracter (blank, null,...) that we have to treat?
- are we sure to get exactly these 16 characters at the receiving application to be able to recognize the message testing the MsgId or CorrelId field?
yeah it is possible...convert the required string to bytes and assign to the messageId attribute of the message.this can be retrieved as it is by the receiving application. _________________ Regs,

The message id and correlid are not changed in any way so will not undergo code page conversion and you must use the same padding character when extending your 16 bytes to 24 bytes. _________________ Bob Buxton
