In distribution if the sender channel fails then the where will be the msg will go dead letter queue or transmission queue.?

The message won't "go" anywhere.

It will stay where it already is.

No, it will stay where it is; on the transmission queue. The DLQ is for messages delivered to a queue manager for which a valid destination can't be identified.

If a sender channel fails the messages are not delivered anywhere because the channel's failed. They stay on the xmitq for the same reason messages stay on a local queue if the app processing them fails.
