I am using Rfhutilc v 7, to connect to a remote MQ v 5.3 CSD11 QM to get a copy of the messages.
I am able to load the QM objects by setting MQSERVER, but while trying to save the queue to a file. I am getting the following error
21.28.11 2046 Invalid option for operation Get3SaveMsgs
2046 Invalid option for operation Getting message
21.26.27 2046 Invalid option for operation Get3SaveMsgs
2046 Invalid option for operation Getting message
I searched the net and find some thing relevant to FASTPATH bindings but couldn't get a lead. Has anyone faced the same problem ?! is there a fix available.
Please ...
Note:
The same utility works fine with a v 7 QM. |

Hi ranganathan,
The utility is not the problem i guess,
mqrc 2046 = MQRC_OPTIONS_ERROR
there should be some difference between the QMs, or the way you are trying to get messages using the tool (settings).
Regards. |

Thanks for the reply elvis_gn, I have used 'qload' utility to take the msg backup. Not sure what is wrong with my Rfhutilc set up... |

Could it be that your qmgr version (5.3) has been out of support for more than a year?
Maybe you would have needed an older version of RFHUtil? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

I think this ReasonCode can happen if some other process already has the queue open. _________________ Glenn |

Could be.. The DataFlowEngine has the queue open.. but in V7 QM it connected and saved the file.. without issues..
Anyways.. thanks for your suggestions. |

I changed User Props to "As Queue" and was able to browse/read/write to a queue just fine after that.
Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but this forum was the top result in Google and I figured it would be nice to post a solution that I found shortly after reading this thread. |
