Has anyone successfully installed either MQ Series 5.2 or 5.3 on an NT metaframe server? I tried 5.2 but keep getting the following error "MQ Series Snap In failure AMQ4018"

Version 5.00.1920.1

This is the same version that I use on my desktop and it works there

Well, for what its worth this is all I could find in the information center ...

AMQ4018 The IBM MQSeries Explorer snap-in failed to initialize properly.

Explanation: The MQSeries Explorer experienced a problem during initialization when it was loaded by the Microsoft(R) Management Console. This normally indicates that a piece of the underlying software could not be initialized.
User Response: Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem identifier, and to save the generated output files. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.

I have a suspicion that there is a problem with the mmc. Have you tried the runmqsc interface instead of MQ Explorer? This is a step towards isolating the problem and confirm whether mq is installed and working correctly.

I think that the root of the problem is that MQ series is trying to access certain files in the c:\ directory. When I run filemon I get the following error when running crtmqm

C:\ifor\ls\conf\custinfo - No such file found

As far as the error I receive in the MQ logs it looks like this

<-- xcsDestroySharedMemSet rc=xecS_I_NO_OTHER_CONNS
<-- kpiStartup rc=lrcE_S_LOG_LOCATION_INVALID

Any thoughts on what this file is or how to deal with these errors
