Im using MQSeries 5.0 and was wondering about changing the MAXCHANNEL atribute in the qm.ini file.

The file currently doesn't list any maxchannel attrubute, there is only LOG... do I just add it to the end? (proper syntax of course...)

Same thing in mqs.ini

In qm.ini add a new stanza for for Channels and then add MaxChannels to the stanza. You will need to stop and restart the queue manager for the change to take affect.

Channels:
MaxChannels=xxx
MaxActiveChannels=xxx
