Hi experts,
I want to setup new environment
1 QM multi instace on two server active and stand by as GW
2 QM on other two server to process the messages
the three QMs are in one cluster
our network team will use F5 network device
our clients have MQ older than V7
F5 will direct the connection first to the active instance of GW QM
the question is how the F5 will direct the connection to other server if the switch over happen in GW QM?????
please assume me as novoice and answer me in a bit details. |

As we are making assumptions, can I assume:
1. An 'F5 network device' is a load balancer?
2. 'our clients' means the external entities your company deals with, and they are using WMQ Client applications to connect to your Gateway?
And why have a highly-available Gateway queue manager but not highly-available processing queue managers? Your processors being in cluster does not render them highly-available, merely load-balanced. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Haven't you already asked this question?
And been told that it works however the F5 will allow it to work, or is configured to work?
This is an F5 question, not an MQ question. |
