We are adding MQ z/OS queue managers to queue sharing groups and would like to activate both QMGR and QSG level security. My intent is to secure shared queues using rules in the GMQQUEUE class and private queues using rules in the MQQUEUE class.

We are unable to find any documentation that describes the ACF2 setup that is required to implement both QMGR and QSG level security for securing both private and shared queues.

We already have the ACF2 setup in place to secure private queues but we can't find a way to get ACF2 to use the GMQQueue class for securing shared queues.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

You will need to find ACF2 documentation.

There is a chapter devoted to setting up security (RACF) in theWebSphere MQ for z/OS System Setup Guide.

I can't find the jobs we used at one time to setup ACF2 MQ Security. We are now RACF. However, setup for these classes should be very similiar to the way you've setup any prior ACF2 MQ Security.

Some time ago I answered a thread here with someone who was setting up ACF2 Security for the first time. I did send them the jobs I used as an example. You may want to search.

And, as Bruce said, contact the vendor for the documentation of ACF2 setup for MQ. Besides, a SAF call is a SAF call.

BTW...Rodger's site has a document on ACF2 and MQ.

I did a simple google search as I hope you did before asking questions.
