I have got Linux MQ V7.0 queue manager in production. The messages arrive from z/OS qmgr to Linux qmgr to its local queue. The messages are processed by MDB listener on WAS. WAS on different Linux server is connected to Linux queue manager. SRVCONN channel on Linux qmgr is used for connecting WAS and qmgr. During the day MDB Listener fails, messeges are not processed and curdepth increases. After restarting of MDB listener the processing of messages continues and curdepth of local queue is decreased. We would like to solve this problem and find what causes the MDB Listener to fail. In Linux qmgr error log there are no messages which indicate any problem with Linux qmgr and need to change any parameter of Linux qmgr. Also on WAS there is nothing in log to indicate any problem with it. Does anybody have any idea what to do here to solve this problem because we are not satisfied to solve this problem restarting MDB Listener when it fails.

Fails why? What's the WMQ reason code associated with the failure (in the linked exception associated with the JMS error)?

If the queue manager is running out of connections, or there's a network problem in the link then they'll be nothing in the queue manager's log and probably nothing in the WAS log except possibly an entry for the MDB going over.

Find the problem. Fix the problem.

you may need to associate an ExceptionListener with the connection.
It is hard to find why if a connection goes down for an MDB...

Worst case scenario: no dlq defined on the qmgr, bothresh defined on the queue and the MDB has problems leading to a rollback.

The mdb will stop. When restarted the problem is gone and the mdb processes successfully the message...
