Hi All,
After appling latest fix pack MQ 7.0.1.9 on linux, I can see the amqrmppa and amqzlaa0 process taking more CPU usage. I used top command to see the processes and usage on Linux.
I thought because some bad coding using MQINQ calls, so I killed the listener but still CPU usage is not coming down.
Any suggestion!!! _________________ Bravo |

That is quite possibly a good thing.
Higher CPU usage together with higher throughput means better utilization of your machine, and better return on investment (ie. the machine is doing more work for you, per unit time).
Higher CPU usage together with NO higher throughput means worse utilization of your machine.
OR
Maybe your apps got an update at the same time as your MQ update, and in fact you are not comparing like with like.
So, don't only look at the CPU rate, look at whether you are comparing like with like, and whether the throughput has increased.
Hope this helps. |
