Environment : WebSphere MQSeries 5.3 with AIX 5.0.2
Abstract: Queue Manager responded extremely slow.
Problem:
1. it was no response when issued dis ql(*) in mq "runmqsc" session.
2. it was not able to connect to queue manger from client.
3. issued vmstat shows system was almost 99% idle.
4. user AIX "ps aux" command, the number one process was amqzlaa0, however it only usages 0.5% of cpu.
5. there was no cpu, io, memory bound at that time
6. I provided the qm.ini and /etc/security/limits for you to verify.
7. there was no any error message at /var/mqm/errors and /var/mqm/qmgrs/AU8H03S/errors
8. problem of course was solved by restart queue manager.
9. I killed all applications which might use mq resource. however queue manger still not response.
