Board,
I have a problem while trying to peform data conversion, here are the deatils
Sender application resides on MVS, receving application is running on
Solaris platform and when it issues a MQGET with MQGMO_CONVERT option call returns with return code 2111.
On OS/390
CCSID : 500
Encoding : 785
On UNIX
CCSID : 819
Encoding: 273
Below are the input messages attributes (it has an RFH2 header)
MQMD.CCSID : 500
MQMD.Encoding : 785
MQMD.FORMAT : MQHRF2
MQRFH2.CCSID : 500
MQRFH2.Encoding : 785
MQRFH2.NameValueCCSID : 500
ReturnCode 2111 says that the code conversion between the pages is not supported , but here i am trying to convert from CCSID 500 to CCSID 819 which is supported by MQseries .
So my question since message has multiple headers (MQMD followed by MQRFH2) is there a problem in any of the input msg's CCSID?.
Please provide your thoughts on how to correct it. Your help is truly appreciated.

Quite a few Problems with headers and rfh2 headers in particular have been fixed in recent releases of MQ. Hence not knowing what version you are on, the only advise would be to get to the latest csd level, at least.
Cheers.
