Hi,
I have an issue with "SYSTEM.ADMIN.CHANNEL.EVENT" queue, this queue is full with event messages when the channels are stopped and started , I tried clearing the queue but it displays "AMQ8148: WebSphere MQ object in use" error message and has got one ipprocs on it and that is "qpmon" which is related to qpasa
Can someone help me in this regard |

Help you in which regard? The one where qpmon has the queue open, and therefore you can't delete messages? If so, end qpmon; then delete the messages. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Or better yet, figure out why your monitoring system is not actually consuming these messages but leaving them on the queue. |

There is no harm in that queue being full, other than new Channel Event messages will not be written - but since you are not consuming them, and want to just delete the ones that are there, you don't care about them anyway. _________________ Peter Potkay

Presumably channel events were enabled in the first place for a reason, so the content is important somewhere. |

Or the content of the channel event queue may have been important somewhere in the past, but no longer. It's like the lights - more people turn them on than turn them off. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
