Hi All,
I am facing an issue with the MQ v7.0.0.1 on Solaris 10 server.
All the mq commands are failing with the following error.
AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.
In the FDC file, i can see that the issue is because of
xcsGetEnvironmentString rc=xecE_E_ENV_VAR_NOT_FOUND
This issue happened bacuase the solaris server was restarted without shutting down the queue manager.
Please help me if anybody is having any idea about this. |

Really? That's odd. How did you arrive at this conclusion?
(This question certified to be free of sarcasm)

Well as I indicate above I'm not sure how restarting the server would make an environment variable disappear (or how you managed to restart a server without the queue manager shutting down as the OS collapsed under it).
I think your best bet is how you determined that this caused the problem. However you found that should indicate what is hosed up to cause this.
If it was me, I'd close down the queue manager, make sure all the shared memory, semaphores & other detrius was gone (cleaning it manually if necessary) and then try restarting.
After that I'd raise a PMR. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Upgrade to 7.0.1.7 or some maintenance level out in the recent past?

This on its own doesnt feel the root cause of the problem... (just because a function doesnt return ok doesnt mean its the cause of the problem)
Post more of the fdc? |

this was conclusion that the issue happened because the server was restarted with out shutting down the queue manger as the queue manager was running fine at the time when server was rebooted. I may be wrong also.
Thank you all for your inputs, I have now raised the PMR. |
