There is an issue with MQExplorer with 64-bit Win 7 Professional. If you open the properties of any object, you cannot see the properties. You can switch between tabs but the only things you see are the tab title and Apply, Cancel and OK buttons. The data fields are not visible.

This is what I found in MQExplorer log:

Code:

It seems MQEplorer catches an exception while loading bundles and therefore leaves some vital bundles unloaded?

Anything with "nl" in it refers to "national languages".

So I'd say you either ran into a compatibility issue with the national language files (they're not supplied in 64bit versions somehow or similar) or you're trying to run Windows in a national language that's not fully supported by MQ Explorer.

Разумеется! It must be those new russian key stickers that I have just put on my keybord...

No, I'm using Finnish input locale. I tried with UK English as default locale and got the same result.

Well, they're both foreign languages, so...

Double-check your install packages, try a reinstall.... and then open a PMR...

I thought MQ would feel more at home with UK English. Afaik Hursley is not in Texas

I upgraded to V 7.1 and now it works.

I guess I had made a wrong choice with network configuration or stopped the MQ configuration wizard. In fact I chose to run the wizard mainly to get rid of MUSR_MQADMIN. But I must admit that after five year of Linux workstation I have completely forgotten how you do it (replace MQUSR_MQADMIN with another user id)...

Just to follow on from the above - I've got Win7 64 bit prof and it works fine with the v7.0.1.7 explorer (not that I've directly tried 7.0.1.6 or earlier, its just what I have on my machine). My machine is set to english (UK ) if thats of any merit

In general, rerun the prep wizard is the easiest way. For 7.0 and earlier, amqmsrvn has a command line option to provide a userid and password, or set it directly in dcomcnfg. For 7.1 and later, set the service run as userid/password (or sc config can probably do it)

Hi Experts,

Me too ran into same issue ,i have tried installing so many times however the end result is the same , you cannot see the objects , idont think its problem of locale or network or rather rerunning the prepare phase.

yes after me upgrading to 7.1 i never faced any issue.

My machine is windows 7 and Mq version was 7.0.1.3 64 bit , i am pretty sure that mq explorere jsut does not load some libraries to make it visible.

Intrestingly while working with IBM MQ support for different case , i popped this question or issue adn the person replicated the issue and cud see the same situation..

We need to open a PMR for this for sure.
