Hi ,

we have the existing version of broker 6109 is available & its has been stopped during the migration activities .While applying .mqsiprofile to set the mqsi environment i am getting "mqsiprofile repetition disallowed".

Can someone came across this kind of issue ealier. It would be great if you provide some inputs.

Thanks

You don't say what platform this is happening on.

There will be one answer for Windows

AND

a different answer for Unix/Linux

AND

another different answer for z/OS

Put simply, you've already set up your Broker environment to work with one version.
If you want to work with two installations of broker simultaneously, start two different sessions. Trying to overlay one WMB profile on top of another can lead (and has led) to problems.

comment out the old and add the new mqsiprofile reference in the broker id's .profile file (is the usual way).

Ok, there is a file that needs editing.

this is probably

.profile

in there is where the broker bits are added to your 'shell' when it is started.

Take a look at the files. IF you can't see them then
Code:

cd $HOME
ls -la

will show them.
