Hi,
has anyone ever tried to install BPM7.5 for Linux on top of an existing WAS 8.0 ND.
BPM 7.5 currently ships with WAS ND 7.0 and checks during installation if the SCA and xml feature packs are installed. As this is already bundled in WAS ND8.0 I would like to combine those two. _________________ There are two kinds of people in this world: people who s***, and Chuck Norris... |

I haven't
But I would say, not a good idea.
BPM itself is having lot of problems by itself. With an unsupported version of WAS, I would think there would be lot more problems. |

Sorry, but IBM software doesn't work like that (lego?). WAS 8 will not be supported (and probably never supported) for BPM7.5. You have to install on a supported version of WAS. Other vendors tend to be more pluralistic and support multiple J2EE containers. IBM is moving in this direction with WAS 8.5 which runs on a mac believe it or not! |
