We are pplanning a sire using MQ Clusters and the WebSphere MQ Client - Reconnecting Client.

The documentation clearly specifies that "Automatic client reconnect is not supported by WebSphere MQ classes for Java" but latter it specifies that this is supported when using JMS.

Have somebody had experience with this? and what exactly means that "Automatic client reconnect is not supported by WebSphere MQ classes for Java" i.e. when the QM fails I needs to restart my app?

There are 2 means on using WMQ from with Java; the native classes & the JMS classes. One method supports automatic reconnection, one does not.

Or your app in some other means needs to establish a connection to a still-running queue manager.

Note that this has nothing to do with WMQ Clusters.
