Hello folks
We recently had some reliability issues with Oracle RAC and WMB (v7) - having multiple ADDRESSes in tnsnames.ora cause more troubles than reliability - once the currently active Oracle node goes down, the broker cannot recover. We searched for some official document explaining the right way to configure TNS for RAC (for the broker) - found nothing. Is there such a paper?
If no - perhaps some informal guidelines?
More generic question: if tnsnames.ora mentions multiple nodes, what does broker do if one Oracle node goes down? How does it switch to another node? What happens to the pooled connections? What happens to the messages that are currently being processed?

You need to VERY CAREFULLY change the URL Format on the configurable service for the DB, and then fill out the parms accordingly.
My recommendation is to seek guidance from IBM there and open a PMR. _________________ MQ & Broker admin
