The options are 'complete/immediate/on demand'.

'complete' means 'parse everything. Don't stop for unresolved choices.
'immediate' means 'parse everything, unless an unresolved choice is encountered'
'on demand' means 'parse nothing unless the message flow needs it, and stop parsing as soon as the required element has been parsed.'

In practice, 'complete' and 'immediate' are identical unless you are using the MRM CWF parser and the message definition contains choices.

The setting has no impact on the functional behaviour of your message flows - it is a performance tweak. Leave it as 'On Demand' unless you really need to force a full parse of the entire message.
