Hi,
I have a requirement where WTX map node reads the large file and converts them to 10K,20K,30K,40K,50K messages to put them into MQ Output node. The transaction mode of the MQ input node in the flow was set to 'Yes', so everything will be under sync control. And the maximum un-committed messages for the queue manager was set to 10,000 (default). Now the problem, I have is, whenever the flow processing more than 10K message file, it fails after it put 9000 messages to the MQOutput node with the error 2024 MQRC_SYNCPOINT_LIMIT_REACHED.
Could anybody advise, how can I handle this? If I set the Transaction Mode property of MQOutput node to 'NO', the output messages will not be under synccontrol and targeting application can process the messages as soon it is written to the queue. Will that be a good solution? And, I think it should not be good to increase the max un-committed count for the queue manager, so what is the best number to for the max un-committed count? Is it default 10,000?
Thanks |

Keep in mind that changing the max uncommitted messages has some implications, more specifically on logs.
You can change the number of logs, but if you need to change the size of the log files, you will need to rebuild your qmgr.
This being said, there is no hard and fast rule. It all depends on the requirements....
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Thanks fjb_saper.
Yes, it clearly depends on the requirement. But, is it good having more than 50,000 un-committed messages with in single UOW?
Thanks |

No, I would suggest any given single application keeps it below 1000. |
