Hi,
We are facing a problem on WBIMB 6.0 and MQ Series 6.0 platform. Broker is on AIX and config manager is on Win NT.
Whenever WBIMB user logs off from config manager box, we can't connect to the config manager from toolkit. After I again logged in Config manager Box, it showed QM running and config manager also running. Although the listener was running, but it was not connecting to the MQ Explorer on the Config Manager Box too. Please help me solve this issue. And when I recycle QM, I can again connect from toolkit. But same problem continues if I again log off the config manager box.
Thanks in advance. |

It sounds like the config qmgr is not set up to run properly on windows.
There is a setting that allows MQ to run when the appropriate user is logged on. I'm not sure why, since that is never the real world requirement.
I think you need to look at the various mq services and see that they are not set to run as the interactive user. The actual screen used to be under dcomcnfg -> IBMMQSeriesServices -> Properties -> Identity.
Note messing with dcomcnfg is dangerous.

Sounds to me like the qmgr under windows is started with the logon id instead of the service id.
You need to fix that first.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
