Dear Expertes,
We are having one problem like below.
Trace file size is increasing in /var/mqsi/common/log like below
-rw-rw---- 1 adm mqbrkrs 1048446 Oct 18 14:32 P_BRK_01.e799ea94-1801-0000-0080-decfd45d9c07.trace.bin.1
-rw-rw---- 1 adm mqbrkrs 1048264 Oct 18 17:45 P_BRK_01.e799ea94-1801-0000-0080-decfd45d9c07.trace.bin.2
-rw-rw---- 1 adm mqbrkrs 1048494 Oct 19 10:57 P_BRK_01.e799ea94-1801-0000-0080-decfd45d9c07.trace.bin.3
So due to this mount point is filling up...
We checked all the user trace and service trace is disabled.
I don't know why it was happening. Please help me on this. This is a Sev-1 issue for us |

Moving this to the Broker forum... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

That would write to separate files.

No, clearly it's not.
What do you see if you do an mqsireadlog for that specific EG? |

for all unix flavours, you have logrotate utility or its equivalent. You can say what is the log size and how many logs you want to retain.
It works on Linux and Solaris. Try it. U will be happy. |

This will not work on Broker internal trace files.
Do not try to use this on Broker internal trace files.
Broker internal trace files are already managed for the size they use. mqsichangetrace will allow you to determine how much space trace files can cover...
The only reason that data is being written to these files is that something is writing to user or service trace - either because it's enabled at the EG level or because there is a Trace node that is writing to user trace. |
