What needs to be taken care if there are two instances of the same msgflow accessing the same database tables?

Location: Somewhere over the Rainbow this side of Never-never land.
What you need to do is to stop DEADLOCKS.

Speak to your DBA's about how you can optimise your operations to limit the possibility of deadlocks happening.

If you are mostly doing reads then it is not all that hard to change the queries to read without locking rows or pages etc.
For insert/update it is a little more difficult however this is all pretty standard stuff.
