==This is my first message flow utilizing web services==
In this msg flow I am making 2 service calls. the first is an HTTP call and the second is an HTTPS call. The first call returns the URL for the second call. The first call is successful but the second call fails. The error msg states : Text:CHARACTER:An error occurred whilst performing an SSL socket operation

Text:CHARACTER:javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.g: PKIX path building failed: java.security.cert.CertPathBuilderException: PKIXCertPathBuilderImpl could not build a valid CertPath.; internal cause is:
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: The certificate issued by CN=VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5, OU="(c) 2006 VeriSign, Inc. - For authorized use only", OU=VeriSign Trust Network, O="VeriSign, Inc.", C=US is not trusted; internal cause is:
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Certificate chaining error

You have a certificate chaining error. Means your certificate path is not complete. Have you attended the IBM-provided WM663 WMB developers training class? If not, why not?

And the fix is to download the missing intermediate cert from Verisign and add it to your truststore...
