We have the need to convert data from alphanumeric (base 36) format to decimal (base 10) within MB.
Does anyone know of any functions within ESQL that would assist with this or at least point me in the direction of where I could find some examples..?

There are no built-in functions for number base conversions in ESQL.
Somebody asked a similar question a while ago - try the search box above.

OK, that's a shame.
I thought that might be the case so have been working on some custom code to do the conversion. That's done now and it seems to be working.

Use the java functions, e.g. on Integer

http://download.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/Integer.html

radix is the same as base.
