Hi,

I am using the ALE interface to create an Inbound Adapter.
I have got this working for me fine.

What I want to know now, is, When my Broker/EG/Flow is down, what happens to any IDOCs that are sent from SAP.
I tried stopping the Flow and then creating some IDOCs. These don't get sent to the flow after it is restarted, and hence are lost.

What is the way to queue up IDOCs if the Adapter flow is temporarily down?

I have tried searching for this, but am really not sure what terms to search for. Can someone provide links to resources that talk about this?
Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Thanking in anticipation.

First of all, what happens to IDOCS that are sent over any other ALE interface when the other side of the interface is stopped?

That is, is Broker doing something different than is expected of ALE interfaces in general? Is ALE designed to provide "historical" events after the fact?

Secondly, you might look at the Event Recovery configurations.http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v7r0m0/topic/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/csap_ale_event_recov.htm

However, since that says that it is the adapter that is storing the event state, and not SAP itself, it may not give you what you think you want.

Thanks for the pointers. Think I'll read up a little more about SAP and ALE...

I noticed that the IDocs do come through, although after a seemingly random delay after the flow has been restarted.
