We are currently hiring for an MQ Series Specialist for our London office. You will be joining a team of engineers where you will be responsible for reviewing, planning, and evaluating hardware, software and custom deployments to the organisation’s global production infrastructure. The role will also involve being the subject matter expert in multiple platforms and the systems that are administered.
You will be responsible for maintaining a stable production environment to ensure that software releases and system changes result in no or minimum customer impact.
Requirements:
- Very strong experience with MQ Series (installing, configuring and managing)
- Strong experience in UNIX (Solaris) and / or Linux (Red Hat) administration
- Knowledge of internet and security protocols such as DNS/FTP/SFTP/HTTPS/SSL
- Exposure to Apache and Joss would be desirable
- Knowledge of server and system design and also system security requirements
Ideal skills (advantageous):
- Knowledge of mail transfer agents (MTA) like Sendmail, Q Mail or equivalent
- Knowledge of applications such as Jboss and web services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years)
