Hi,

I have a problem to connect to MQ server 7 with a client version 6.
When I try to connect I have the error 2059 (MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE), but if I try to connect to a server version 6 I haven't.
I had set the MQSERVER variable like CLIENT.MQM/TCP/192.168.0.159(1414), and the telnet to 192.168.0.159 o port 1414 work fine.

How can I solve this problem?

All the usual steps for a 2059 (and you've correctly started with the telnet test

There's no reason why a v6 client can't use a v7 queue manager (there's such a configuration at this site). Given that none of the v7 facilities will be available, but you still shouldn't get a 2059.

MQ Client experiences 2059 reason code --> Look in the local MQ error log (eg. /var/mqm/errors/AMQERR01.LOG on UNIX)
