WMB 7002 on AIX

I accidentally deleted the queue manager associated with a WMB 7 broker, before deleting the broker.

I want to delete both, but when I now try to delete the broker, I get this:

Quote:
mqsideletebroker XXXXXX
AMQ8118: WebSphere MQ queue manager does not exist.
BIP8052E: Unable to delete WebSphere MQ object 'SYSTEM.BROKER.ADMIN.QUEUE' from queue manager 'XXXXXX'.
This command attempts to delete a WebSphere MQ object but was unable to do so.
Locate and resolve the problem and retry the command. This could be because a WebSphere MQ channel is still running. If this is the case, stop all WebSphere MQ channels running on behalf of this queue manager. If any applications are connected to your broker, you may need to stop these as well.

Any idea what is the easiest way to delete the broker in this case?

If the answer is to first recreate the queue manager (I don't have a backup of its definitions) then how can most easily I re-create the broker queues etc?

How about this

1) Find another QM that is used by Broker
2) run saveqmgr and get ALL the SYSTEM.BROKER queue defs
3) Create a dummy qm for the broker you are going to have to trash
4) add the SYSTEM.BROKER defs from 2) above
5) delete broker
6) stop and delete qmgr

Start again

Thanks

Presumably I will have to add the broker svrconn channel as well.

What about broker topic objects? Subscriptions?

Could do with an option on mqsideletebroker to skip the MQ object deletion part.

I don't think you need to recreate any SYSTEM.BROKER objects.

in fact, I just tried it... I created a test broker, stopped it's qmgr, deleted it's qmgr, created a new one with the same name, and was able to run mqsideletebroker with no issues.

Of course, that was version 7.0.0.3....

Thanks, I did that and used "mqsideletebroker XXXXXX -q" to delete both at once.
