I have a message flow MQInput-->Compute-->MQOutput.
The Broker is connected to "QMGR1" Q-Mgr and my message flow picks up the messages from the Queue under this QMGR1. I need to send this message to another Q-Mgr "QMGR2" which is running on a different server. My message flow throws "Failedto Open Queue" error while putting the message.
Do I need to create a Remote Queue under QMGR1 so that I can put my message in this Remote Queue which will be transferred to QMGR2 OR is there any other solution for this.
Currently MQ Queues are created by a different vendor, so I just want to make sure the approach is correct before giving them the requirement.
Thanks

You either need a remote queue that resolves to your target queue, complete with channel and transmission queue, or you need a qmgr alias (see intercommunications manual), that will allow you to target any queue on the foreign qmgr.... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Hi,
One option more is to create MQ cluster between your qmgrs and for unique qnames cluster takes care of routing message to correct end points.
