We have Configured HA MSCS cluster for Queue manager, SAN, IP adress and Network Name.
Initially the network name resource that actually corresponds to a resource group, this was not comming online through the failover Admin for Win 2008 R2, but after System Admin and Network team gave privilages through AD to this resource group, after which
All the above resources are comming online, but not the queue manager resoure.
We are getting the following errors on the Cluster logs and System event logs:
The Cluster service failed to bring clustered service or application <Net work Name> resource completely online or offline. One or more resources may be in a failed state. This may impact the availability of the clustered service or application.
And
Cluster network name resource 'XYZ' failed registration of one or more associated DNS name(s) for the following reason: DNS signature failed to verify.
And the FDCs are reffering to Probe id MC008050, and error code 13.
This error code must be a MS error code ?.
Do you think there are more work to happen on AD, that the resouce group still lacks some of the privilages.
In our win2k3 servers we have unchecked the DNS registration Must succeed check box, I couldn't find this option on the failover Manager for 2K8 R2.

Is the MQ Service running under a domain user, i.e. there is a domain mqm group and a user within that group defined, with the MQ service running under that user? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Yes, the domain mqm is defined as a group on the domain with the appropriate privilages given to it, the user accounts that QMRs run on and also the MQ service run on have been included on the domain mqm group.
domain mqm is also a member of the local mqm group as well. |

I think your Windows Sys Admins and/or Network people may need to do a little more work. have you tried Googling for where the "DNS registration must succeed" counterpart is in W2K8? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

There were two issues with it,
DNS access was set and permissions granted through AD.
Also found that the MSCS registration (HAREGTYP /r) which registers the MSCS libraries gave a successful result, but didn't rgister the dll properly, when configuring Queue Manager resource on MSCS, I noticed that the Parameter tab was there but with funny characters on it, hence we had to unregister it ( HAREGTYP /u), re-register (HAREGTYP /r), then we could see the parameter tab and hence we could give the QMGR name.
We could see QMGR resource responding through MSCS admin. |

Can you tell me, what is the quickest way to find out whether the haregtyp /r has completely taken effect. |
