Hi - I have couple of doubts regd RBA values in Z/OS Queue manger.

1.How/When does Z/os Queue manager makes use of RBA values
2.RBA values are being used only during archieving pageset info ?
3.what is Media recovery and When Queue manger will go for media recovery

Thanks

Doubts? Do you know what the letters RBA stand for? Apparently you have done no research on this subject.

RBA usage by WMQ for z/OS is nicely documented in the relevant WMQ (for z/OS) manuals. You might want to start by searching google.

I did that. What I'm getting is while offloading data from active logs to archive logs Queue manger uses RBA value as check point, but my question is apart from offloading will queue manaer uses this RBA concept any where ?

Also What is exactly Media recovery and When Queue manager will go for that ?

If you could provide some link that would be greatful.

Thanks

What do you think the RBA is, what do you think it's purpose is and in the light of those 2 answers what sense does your question make?

Where did you see this term in the z/OS documentation?
