Bar files are consumed by the broker and their contents stored in whatever place is relevant for that level of broker. Likewise how they are presented to broker varies between v6.1 & v7.
The actual bar files are stored wherever you put them. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Bar files are exploded to $MQSI_WORKPATH/components on all brokers on all platforms (z/OS, Windows, Unix, Linux, AIX, HP-UX).
I've fingered them out many times before, even programmatically. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

We move bar file just to deploy. Once they are deployed, there is no bar files any more.
Could you please elaborate a little bit on your second part. The first one, I think I understand. I was thinking you can still see as a bar file I have never looked at or checked after deployed( MB is kind of new to me). |

As you mentioned UNIX in your original message it would be defined in your mqsiprofile that you should be 'sourcing' on any users that will use mqsi commands.
A simple 'echo $MQSI_WORKPATH' from the command line will show you the value it is being set to.
Please do not confuse a bar file with a jar file. |

The IBM deploy command doesn't delete the bar files. If your deploy process/script/tool deletes them that's on you. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

i had one last year, do they talk about any practical things in training? I do not rememer anything like that being discussed. I think trainign is for someone who does not know at all not for someone who knows what he needs to konw. |
